Grant Hill on his role on Suns, Duke-UNC rivalry

Phoenix Suns swingman Grant Hill joined the show to talk about his season and more.

Dan asked Hill if he likes his new role as a defender instead of a consistent scorer.

“I embrace it,” Hill said. “I do like the challenge. It’s weird. As my career has evolved … now it’s trying to be a lock-down defender.”

Hill and the Suns visited the Nets last night. Hill said that he did say something to Jay-Z about Deron Williams. But mostly he was focused on staying in front of Williams.

Hill said he used to go over to Chapel Hill when he was at Duke and go to parties. He said that that wouldn’t happen now. Hill even admitted he once dated a Tar Heel. “I was a freshman, I didn’t know any better,” Hill said.
