Kevin Johnson explains how Sacramento kept the Kings

Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson joined the show to explain how he convinced the NBA to stay in the city for now.

Johnson said he and the community worked hard to show how passionate the fan base is. He said he thinks the Maloof brothers were “moved” by what happened.

Johnson said if the Kings left the city, they would apply for a new team. He said they’ve discovered a lot of excitement for the sport.

K.J. said he doesn’t play any more. He’s touched a ball twice since he retired. He tried to dunk at 40 and 45 and failed both times.
