Chris Dufresne explains why latest BCS news is so odd

Los Angeles Times columnist joined the show to talk about the Justice Department writing a letter to the BCS and asking why there’s no playoff.

Dufresne thinks the whole thing is weird. “All you have to do is hit Google and you could find the answers they’re looking for,” Dufresne said.

Dufresne said that as bad as the BCS is, it’s better than the system before 1998, when it was hard to get the No. 1 and No. 2 together.

Dufresne said the BCS is very convoluted, like fishing line that’s tangled. It’s next to impossible to come up with the perfect solution.
