Evan Longoria talks about the AL East race and Manny
Tampa Bay Rays third baseman Evan Longoria joined guest host Chris Mannix to talk about the AL East race and more.
Longoria talked about slumps. He has no abnormal slump-busters — sometimes he bangs on his drums. But he confirmed a lot of guys wear thongs.
Longoria talked about the close race in the AL East and said all the teams are very evenly matched. “It seems like you’re going to have to win outside the division to win in the division,” Longoria said.
Longoria actually had very nice things to say about Manny Ramirez, even though he was with the Rays for so little time. “He’ll be missed around our clubhouse and around baseball,” Longoria said.
