Matt Ryan talks about impact of Lockout, Julio Jones

Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan joined the show to talk about his offseason.

Ryan said all the lockout meant for him was more free time during the summer. Ryan said he didn’t talk to the team  during the lockout. “We had no communication,” Ryan said. “It made it diffiult that for sure. Both sides kind of stuck to the rules.”

Ryan said that he did work with Julio Jones during the offseason for about eight weeks. He said Jones can do a lot of good things, and he’s similar to Roddy White.

Ryan looked back at the loss to the Green Bay Packers in last season’s playoffs. Ryan said the way Aaron Rodgers was playing, it was going to be hard to beat them. He said that was one of the greatest QB performances in playoff history.

Ryan said life’s going to be difficult for the incoming rookies after missing this offseason. “For me personally it would have been difficult to come in without the OTAs and minicamps,” Ryan said.

Ryan also talked about getting married this offseason. He said it worked out great with the Lockout.
