Damon on playoff race, walking streets in Boston

Tampa Rays outfielder Johnny Damon joined the show to talk about the playoff race and much more.

Dan asked Damon what it’s like to walk down the street Boston. “Definitely much better now that I don’t play for the Yankees,” Damon said. “The fans have always been great. They respect what I did in Boston … changing the clubhouse culture.”

Damon commented on the “Looks like Jesus, Acts like Judas and throws like Mary.” He said people who wore them don’t know about the negotiations and can’t throw better than him.

Damon talked about his naked pull-ups. He said he would never want to see Curt Schilling do one.

Damon won’t count out the Rays in the pennant race. He said if they can go about 30-10, they’ll have a shot to get back into it.

Damon also said he hasn’t talked to Manny Ramirez since he left the Rays.
