Dan Wetzel on Sandusky arrest and Penn State’s role
Yahoo’s Dan Wetzel joined the show to talk about former Penn State defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky’s arrest and the implications for the school.
Wetzel said that as far as Joe Paterno and the program are concerned, people need answers beyond the letter of the law.
Wetzel said legally Paterno did what he was supposed to do since he turned over the information to his athletic director. But Wetzel said people want to know why Paterno didn’t do more to follow up.
“There is really no good explanation for a 59-year-old man and a 10-year-old boy to be in a shower or a closed locker room together,” Wetzel said.
Wetzel said this story is far beyond anything we’ve seen in college athletics.
