Kevin Ding weighs in on Clips-Lakers preseason game, Dwight Howard rumors

Orange County-Register’s Kevin Ding joined the show to talk about the Lakers-Clippers preseason contest.

Ding said people are into this game a little bit because of all the drama.

Ding weighed in on the Kobe Bryant divorce. Ding said Kobe has been totally relaxed and into camp so far. “He’s really enjoying being able to practice,” Ding said.

Ding said that Kobe is working on building up team chemistry, which is exactly what coach Mike Brown wants.

Ding said fans still expect Dwight Howard to join the team. Ding said, however, the Lakers will not trade Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum for him. Ding thinks keeping Gasol and Bynum gives them a better shot to win this year.

Ding weighed in on the Clippers as well. He thinks Chris Paul’s level of competitiveness makes him more valuable than Dwight Howard. Kei
