Houston Rockets forward Chase Budinger joined the show to talk about competing in the upcoming Slam Dunk contest.
Budinger won’t give away “trade secrets” about what he’s going to try to do in the contest.
Dan asked Budinger the best dunker in the NBA. He said Blake Griffin. Dan asked if Griffin has dunked on him. Budinger said no, but he has dunked to the side of him.
Budinger explained the format — each contestant gets three dunks and fans vote. Budinger said the only dunk contest he’s ever been in was the McDonald’s All-American game. He lost in the finals to Gerald Henderson.
