Waltrip: Danica Patrick has been face of NASCAR
FOX’s Darrell Waltrip joined the show to talk about the delayed Daytona 500.
Waltrip said that driving at night won’t change much for the driver. He said the car will like the conditions. Waltrip said that drivers could take more risks.
“I think the track will be better,” Waltrip said. “That will lead to a better race.”
Waltrip also weighed in on Danica Patrick and her crash during qualifying rounds. Waltrip said that Danica wasn’t at fault, and he talked to her afterward and she was fired up.
Waltrip thinks it would be great for the sport if Danica won. “For the last month she’s been the face of the sport,” Waltrip said.
Waltrip said that Dale Earnhardt Jr. winning would be big as well.
