Rosnethal on MLB playoff changes, Bobby V, Ryan Braun

FOX’s Ken Rosenthal joined the show to talk about his news that MLB is adding two wild card teams and more.

Rosenthal said that while it will add excitement, it might not always work. For example, last season there were great races for the wild card, and they wouldn’t have happened.

Dan also asked Rosenthal why new Red Sox manager Bobby Valentine is talking about the Yankees and things that happened a decade ago. “I have no earthly idea,” Rosenthal said. “Bobby V is just being Bobby V. This is what he does.”

Rosenthal said that the one question he’d have for Ryan Braun is how did synthetic testosterone get into your system. He knows Braun has an answer — it didn’t — but he still would ask that.

Rosenthal said that players around Spring Training are asking questions about Braun. But Rosenthal said it’s a mixed opinion — some are upset thinking Braun got away with something. Others are glad the appeal process worked.
