Steve Blake talks about World Peace discipline, Bryant’s demeanor

Lakers guard Steve Blake joined the show to talk about the state of the team and more.

He said they haven’t been told what the punishment will be for Metta World Peace, but he hopes he’s not suspended for long, because they need him.

Dan asked Blake if Kobe Bryant yelled at him more on the court or when he was hurt and acting as assistant coach. “More as a teammate,” Blake said. “He was actually pretty calm as a sideline coach for us. He was great. He was very Zen-like, like Coach [Phil] Jackson.”

Blake did say Kobe does get disappointed in teammates at time, although he wouldn’t characterize it as yelling.

Blake compared Phil Jackson and Mike Brown. He said the big difference is that Brown focuses more on defense.
