Mike Brown talks about Metta World Peace suspension

Lakers head coach Mike Brown joined the show to talk about the upcoming playoffs and more.

Brown weighed in on the Metta World Peace seven-game suspension. He said that’s the NBA’s job to decide that and he won’t argue with it.

Brown said that he hasn’t talked to World Peace since the suspension. The rule is World Peace has to be out of the building two hours prior to tip-off. Other than that World Peace can do everything with the team.

Brown said he didn’t see the elbow when it happened because he was already looking downcourt at the Lakers’ transition defense. Brown said after the game he was focusing on the positive because he hadn’t seen the hit.

Brown said Kobe Bryant was a great assistant coach when he was hurt. He said that he could be a coach if he was willing to give away the luxuries he’s used to.

Dan asked Brown his choice for MVP. Brown said they’re a few, including the Spurs’ Tony Parker, Kobe and Chris Paul. But Brown knows everyone is pointing toward Kevin Durant and LeBron James. He’d give the nod to LeBron.
