Scott Brooks on Thunder players’ state of mind heading into NBA Finals

Oklahoma City Thunder head coach Scott Brooks joined the show to talk about the NBA Finals. Here are some of Brooks’ takes:

— Brooks said the Thunder are feeling good. “They tell me they’re not just happy to be here,” Brooks said.

— Brooks said he thinks Kevin Durant will start on LeBron James. Brooks said there are other guys as well. Brooks said that you have to pick your poison with LeBron.

— Brooks commented on his point guard Russell Westbrook. Brooks said that both he and Russell try to ignore what people say about him. Brooks said Westbrook’s not perfect, but he appreciates what he brings to the team.

— Brooks said that the Thunder players do not look at themselves as stars — they’re all about team. “If I’ve ever singled Kevin out or singled the three out, they’d be offended by it,” Brooks said.

— Brooks said Kevin is the most relaxed/confident player he has right now. Brooks did say they have a little nerves, but that’s good, it means they care about the results.
