Brandel Chamblee says U.S. Open is brutal and he likes it

Golf Channel analyst Brandel Chamblee joined the show to talk about the U.S. Open at Olympic.

Chamblee said the biggest complaint has been about the 13th hole and the alterations they did to it. But he thinks it’s good that it’s so hard and doesn’t mind watching the best players struggle.

“The U.S. Open is brutality from start to finish,” Chamblee said. “The U.S. Open is the most masculine tournament there is.”

Chamblee said that now everyone wants to take a photo or video of the best players and they can’t silence their phones. He said it’s a distraction and it’s tough to police. Chamblee said that’s the price the golfers pay, and it’s a small price.

Chamblee likes Lee Westwood to win this week.
