John Calipari comments on one-and-done and Indiana series

Kentucky coach John Calipari joined the show to talk about the NBA Draft and more.

Dan asked Calipari if this is a good night for Kentucky, even though they could lose so many good players in the first round. Calipari said that it’s a great night for six families. Calipari said that’s the most important thing to him — helping families.

And Calipari doesn’t necessarily mind having all this turnover. “It’s kind of crazy,” Calipari said. “You have to coach a new team each year. It’s kind of exciting.”

Dan asked Calipari about the discontinuation of the Indiana rivalry. Calipari said he wants to play them. “Sure, we’ll play them at Lucas Oil in their home state,” Calipari said.

Calipari defended his scheduling, saying that he likes the home-and-away series he has and is developing. “I’m trying to schedule for our programming,” Calipari said. “I’m not scheduling for America.”
