Harold Reynolds weighs in on Melky Cabrera, Stephen Strasburg

MLB Network analyst Harold Reynolds joined the show to talk about the big stories in baseball.

Reynolds weighed in on Melky Cabrera’s 50-game suspension for failing a drug test.  “You have to be a knucklehead to get caught,” Reynolds said. “But the payoff is great.”

Cabrera thinks that big factors are batters taking a passive approach and waiting for the pitchers out pitch. And he said we’re seeing so many dominant pitchers with overwhelming stuff.

Reynolds also weighed in on Stephen Strasburg. He said the only thing they can do is put him on the 15-day DL, like the Yankees did with CC Sabathia.

Reynolds said that he’d consider Aroldis Chapman for MVP because he appears in more games than a starter. Reynolds said that he had a problem with Justin Verlander winning.
