Chris Paul talks about winning gold and comments on Lakers’ additions

Los Angeles Clipper and U.S. Basketball gold medalist Chris Paul joined the show to talk about winning the gold.

Paul said that he later saw Coach K jumping up when he hit a decisive basket in the gold medal game. He said he’s looking forward to giving Coach K a hard time. Paul said Coach K told them to bring their ego into the game.

Dan asked Paul who he bonded with that he didn’t know before this. He said Russell Westbrook and Kevin Love.

Paul said that Anthony Davis was a great kid, but they did sort of give him a hard time for being the youngster.

Paul said losing the world championship in 2006 made it sweeter. He said that everyone was very serious about winning. He said they huddled up right before the fourth quarter of the gold-medal game and said we’ve worked too hard to blow this.

Dan asked Paul about the Lakers loading up. “We’ll be just fine,” Paul said.
