Chipper Jones talks about farewell tour and tells Greg Maddux stories
Atlanta Braves third baseman Chipper Jones joined the show to talk about his farewell tour and more.
“The body is starting to tell me I made a good decision back in Spring Training,” Jones said.
Dan asked if retirement scares him. “I think when you come to grips with it and accept it, no,” Jones said.
Jones said that after the season he’ll take a deep breath and say it’s over. He talked about how much he was looking forward to spending time with his family, noting he’s never been on a Spring Break with his kids.
Jones weighed in on some of his former teammates. He said Greg Maddux was the “grosses human being” he’s ever met. He told a story about Maddux we just can’t repeat.
