Mike Mayock says Notre Dame’s front seven among best in nation
NBC Notre Dame analyst and NFL Network broadcaster Mike Mayock joined the show to talk about the Irish and more.
Mayock said that defensively Notre Dame’s front-seven is as good as any team in the nation. But the Irish aren’t sure who they are offensively. Mayock said that he gives Brian Kelly a lot of credit for not relying on his passing instincts. He said, however, they face a similar team in Stanford this weekend.
Mayock weighed in on Andrew Luck and Robert Griffin III. He said that he’s not surprised that they’re this good, because they’re both great people. Mayock noted they’re very different, but they’re both winners.
Mayock is covering the Steelers-Titans game on Thursday. He said the Steelers are definitely getting old on defense and the key issue now is are the next guys good. And he said the Titans are way out of sync in the run game.
