Today Show host Matt Lauer joined the show to talk about NBC’s concert tonight at 8 p.m. ET to benefit those affected by Hurrican Sandy.

“It’s been easy because every phone call we put out there to a superstar artist has said yes,” Lauer said.

Lauer also weighed in on the New York City Marathon. “I’m not a fan of this decision,” Lauer said. “I think there are too many people suffering.”

Lauer is worried that resources are stretched too thin already and bringing all these people into the city.
