David Price talks about winning Cy Young
Rays pitcher David Price joined the show to talk about winning the 2012 Cy Young.
Price said he found out live when he was on the field at the Troc waiting to be interviewed.
Price talked about hearing from second-place finisher Justin Verlander yesterday. “He was one of the first guys to wish me good luck on Twitter,” Price said. “He’s definitely a class act.”
Dan asked Price about giving up the 3,000th hit to Derek Jeter. He said that Jeter told him he was swinging at anything on 3-2. He happened to hang a ball and Jeter hit into the left field bleachers.
