Mike Silver clarifies quotes from Jets on Tebow
Yahoo’s Mike Silver joined the show from New York to discuss the controversy with the Jets.
Silver explained his quote from Jets running back Shonn Greene, who said the Jets could use a change at quarterback. Silver said he talked to him on Monday and followed up with him later in the week. Silver said that he didn’t really see it as such a controversial comment considering where the Jets offense is.
Silver thinks that the idea you can’t pull Mark Sanchez and then come back to him later. Silver gave other examples of quarterbacks who have been pulled and went on to have success — like Joe Montana and Kurt Warner.
Silver said the Jets seem like a legitimate 3-6 team, because of injuries and a weak offensive line.
