Tom Verducci says players linked to PEDs won't get into HOF this ballot

Sports Illustrated’s Tom Verducci joined the show to talk about the 2013 Hall of Fame ballot and all the players connected to PEDs.

Verducci said he’ll go on a case-by-case basis and try not to jump to any conclusions about whether a guy used steroids.

Verducci doesn’t think that Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens, Mike Piazza or Sammy Sosa will get in on their first ballot.

Verducci said Craig Biggio isn’t linked to PEDs, but he isn’t guaranteed anything because his numbers aren’t over-the-top impressive.

Verducci also weighed in on free agent Josh Hamilton. Verducci said it’s only a matter of time until he gets a five- or six-year deal worth over $20 million a year.

Verducci like the B.J. Upton signing for the Braves, because they need that right-handed power.
