Chris Mannix: David Stern abused power by criticizing Spurs
Sports Illustrated’s Chris Mannix joined the show to talk about Spurs coach Gregg Popovich not brining his starters to Miami last night.
Mannix has a problem with David Stern’s harsh comments last night about the Spurs. “That was a complete abuse of his powers as commissioner,” Mannix said.
Mannix said Popovich and the Spurs don’t care. And that this is a very common strategy.
“I don’t see how David Stern has the authority to punish them,” Mannix said.
Mannix said that Stern is taking on a very serious organization here. Spurs management has a lot of power in the NBA and Popovich is universally respected.
