FIND A STATION Dan Patrick Show
Tuesday: Ralph Macchio in studio, Josh Rosen

Lakers star Kobe Bryant joined the show to talk about his season and more.

Bryant explained how he tries to motivate teammate Pau Gasol. “I know how to communicate with him either publicly or behind closed doors,” Bryant said. “It’s a combination of both.”

“I do a lot more ball-handling now,” Kobe said. “The reason is “The Gatsby” (Steve Nash) is out.”

Dan asked if Kobe thinks he has a chance to chase Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s all-time scoring record. “I don’t know about that,” Kobe said. Kobe said he’s not sure how much longer he’s going to play.

“Last season was a tough season for me physically,” Bryant said. He said it was his first offseason where he wasn’t sure if he wanted to work as hard. But one day he woke up and was ready to go.
