Mike Farrell on Alex Collins, Big 12 falling and a past mistake

Rivals.com recruiting analyst Mike Farrell joined the show to talk about National Signing Day.

Farrell had interesting comments on running back Alex Collins’ mother leaving with his letter of intent because she didn’t want him at Arkansas.

“There’s mom drama every year,” Farrell said. He said Collins will probably end up at Arkansas today some time. Farrell said that usually kids win out, because parents can’t say no to their children.

Farrell also talked about Johnny Manziel. Farrell admitted they made a mistake on Johnny Football. “He was a three-star,” Farrell said. “He was too small. …. We were wrong.”

Farrell said that the Big 12 doesn’t have any five stars for the first time he can remember. He said that they don’t have a lot of recruiting powers any more and Texas A&M has stolen the thunder from Texas.
