Tony Dungy thinks the Chip Kelly-Michael Vick marriage can work

NBC NFL analyst Tony Dungy joined the show to talk about the Eagles signing Michael Vick to a one-year deal.

“I think it is a good move for both of them,” Dungy said. “Philadelphia is starting new offensively. You have to look for talent. Michael is a talented guy.”

And Dungy thinks this will help Vick, because Kelly has had success with several different types of quarterbacks. He said that Kelly has succeeded with QBs who throw more and ones who run more. “I don’t think he’s married to one particular style,” Dungy said.

Dungy said the QB in Kelly’s system can’t hold on to the ball and has to make quick decisions. He said Kelly doesn’t like losses because it disrupts the offensive tempo.
