Patrick Ewing looks back at Big East, Hoya bad boy reputation

Hall of Famer Patrick Ewing joined the show to talk about the demise of the Big East and more.

Ewing talked about the dominance of the Big East back in the day.  Back in my era,” Ewing said. “The Big East was the No. 1 conference. We were better than the ACC, the Big Ten …. all of them.”

Ewing said the game was different back then: “Back then it was a lot more physical. The scores were a lot lower. It was grind-out basketball. “

Ewing talked about how John Thompson helped him develop at Georgetown. “I loved it,” Ewing said. “It was great for me. I came to college  a boy. I left a man.
Ewing also commented on the image of the Hoyas. “We were the Raiders of basketball,” Ewing said. “Everybody hated us. We should have worn black uniforms.”

On a side note, Dan asked if there would ever be a day where he put LeBron over Michael Jordan. “No,” Ewing immediately said.
