Donovan McNabb says don’t trust what you hear about players at Draft time, questions Romo deal

Former NFL Pro Bowler and NBC Sports Radio and NFL Network analyst Donovan McNabb joined the show to talk about the Draft process. He said when he was drafted, there was a lot of bad information out there on him. Interestingly, McNabb said that he was viewed like Central Michigan LT Eric Fisher — people question the level of competition. He also said that anyone talking about “football mentality” or “playmaker” usually don’t know what they’re doing.

McNabb also explained why he questioned Tony Romo’s big contract: “I just really couldn’t understand for a team that everyone puts on a pedestal … they haven’t had success and they know they have holes to fill.”
