Chris Mannix on Derrick Rose injury, Kings’ future, Dwight Howard
Sports Illustrated’s Chris Mannix joined the show to talk about the NBA playoffs.
Mannix weighed in on Derrick Rose’s injury and why the guard would be concerned coach Tom Thibodeau would push him.
“The guy would play Derrick Rose if he came out of a coma and could give him five minutes,” Mannix said.
Mannix said that he thinks Rose needs to just come out there and make one cut to feel more confident.
Mannix also explained what’s going on with the Sacramento Kings. He said the NBA can’t make the Maloofs sell, but they can prevent the Maloofs from selling to Seattle. He said the relationship between the Maloofs and the city has fallen apart and he doesn’t think there’s a scenario where they’ll still own the team in Sacramento.
And Mannix had the latest on Dwight Howard. Mannix is hearing Howard will take his time with his decision and he’s waiting to see what happens with the Lakers before committing.
