Charles Barkley says Spurs could sweep Heat

TNT’s Charles Barkley joined the show to talk about the Finals and more.

Barkley said he picked the Spurs because he thinks they’re not going to let LeBron James kill them. “They’re not going to let him go crazy,” Barkley said. “They basically played a zone.”

And Barkley thinks the Spurs were rusty and going to play better. Barkley thinks that the series won’t get out of San Antonio. “I think [the Spurs] could sweep Miami,” Barkley said.

Barkley doesn’t think Dwyane Wade has much left in the tank and he’s already on the downside of his career.

Barkley also commented on Dennis Rodman and Karl Malone’s comments on our show earlier today and earlier this week. Barkley said he doesn’t agree with Dennis Rodman that LeBron James would be average in the 1990s. As for Karl Malone putting Scottie Pippen over Michael Jordan on his top-five team, Barkley just laughed. He said not even Scottie Pippen would do that.

Barkley also had strong comments on why the Heat are not a great team. They even struggled with the Pacers and made “Roy Hibbert look like Wilt Chamberlain.”

Barkley also commented on the Clippers. He said whoever is the next coach is inheriting a bunch of headaches. Barkley doesn’t think Blake Griffin is a great player right now.

And Barkley said Kobe Bryant can come back, but won’t be a dominant player again. And that Dwight Howard doesn’t have the mental makeup to be the man on a team.
