King said it’s a 12-week experiment that won’t cost the Patriots anything. He said that if it doesn’t work, there’s no significant downside.
King said that Bill Belichick doesn’t care about the media distractions. “He’s gonna look and see if he’s one of his best 53 guys,” King said. “If he is, he’ll make it. If he isn’t, he won’t.”
King said the Patriots aren’t going to help ESPN cover the team. Basically ESPN can be there all they want, but New England won’t help.
