Brandel Chamblee explains Rory McIlroy’s struggles, how Majors set up for Tiger

Golf Channel analyst Brandel Chamblee joined the show to talk about the British Open, Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods.

Chamblee said that the British Open organizers don’t care if guys score well. They leave it up to the weather for the most part.

Chamblee weighed in on Rory McIlroy’s recent struggles. He said that it’s not that he’s in love or that he changed his clubs. “It’s just his putter,” Chamblee said, and that affects his entire game. “It really does just boil down to one club.”

Chamblee said that club changes for just a little bit of money is often not a good idea, but it wasn’t that big a risk for McIlroy.

Chamblee talked about everyone saying this course or that course sets up well for Tiger Woods. He said that’s just because he’s so good. But Chamblee thinks that this year’s set of Majors actually doesn’t set up for Tiger.
