Don Mattingly explains how Dodgers turned around season

Los Angeles Dodgers manager Don Mattingly joined the show to talk about their great turnaround.

Mattingly explained why he looks so good as a manager these days. “[With the bullpen], if you’re getting your outs, you look like you know what you’re’re doing,” Mattingly said. “They’re making me look good. … Being able to put out a steady lineup. We’ve got some momentum, so here we go.”

Mattingly talked about what impressed him about Yasiel Puig. He said one play that stood out was him making a play while running straight into the wall.

Mattingly also weighed in on everything that happened with MLB and BioGenesis yesterday. “I don’t know if it’s a good day or a bad day,” Mattingly said. “But if feels like it’s toward being good. I feel like the players have had enough.”

Mattiungly said penalties protect players from other players and owners from giving out bad contracts. Mattingly thinks that tougher penalties can get PEDs out of the game eventually.
