Cal Ripken talks about possibility he’ll manage in the future

Cal Ripken joined the show to talk about the playoffs and the possibility he’d want to manage the Nationals or any team..

Ripken talked about the possibility of him becoming a manager again. He said since retiring he’s had several focuses, but now that his kids are out of the house they’ve changed.

“I’m not lobbying,” Ripken said. “I’m not throwing my name out there. Everyone is asking me, are you getting the itch to come back.

Ripken also had very interesting comments on the difference between baseball players and athletes from other sports. He said football players are the best athletes but usually their baseball swings aren’t very good. And he said basketball players have bad baseballs swings in general. He said Michael Jordan couldn’t adjust because he didn’t develop from about age 16 on.
