Detroit Tigers pitcher Max Scherzer joined the show to talk about winning the Cy Young and more.
Dan asked what was different this year. “I ironed out a few mechanics,” Scherzer said. “And I had a curveball.”
Dan asked Scherzer what was more important, variety or velocity. “Variety,” Scherzer said. “Doesn’t matter how fast you throw it around. I’ve seen 100 mph fasball turned around in a heartbeat if they know what’s coming.”
Scheerzer also talked about his famous brown eye and blue eye. On his license plate, it reads “DIC,” short for “Dichroic,” the medical term.
