Peyton Manning talks about winning SI Sportsman of the Year

Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning joined Dan and Tony Dungy to talk about winning Sports Illustrated Sportsman of the Year.

Manning said it was a great honor to be named Sportsman and isn’t sure he belongs in that incredible list.

Manning talked about adjusting to the Broncos last year. “I was pretty surprised we had some success last year with so many new parts,” Manning said.

Manning said that all his audibles are on the TV mics so people are picking up his stuff. He acknowledged that he asked the NFL to do something about that. “I certainly did inquire, and they said they appreciated my inquire and that was it,” Manning said.

Coach Dungy noted that Peyton used to have issues with family members around practice, and now his two little twins are at practice. Peyton laughed and said “sometimes you have to call audibles.”
