Friday: Joe Thomas, Chris Webber

St. John’s coach Steve Lavin joined the show to talk about his season, overcoming cancer and much more.

Lavin weighed in on the best player he ever coached. He said Baron Davis was the most talented player he ever coached.

Lavin talked about everything he learned from his time in UCLA. He had been there since he was 26 as an assistant and understood what it meant to coach in the shadow of John Wooden.

Lavin talked about what he learned from battling cancer. “You begin to have a better appreciation for what really matters,” Lavin said. “Your health, family, a handful of friends.”
