Rodney Harrison says Sherman was selfish, but not a thug; Welker not trying to hurt Talib

NBC NFL analyst Rodney Harrison joined the show to talk about Richard Sherman.

“I don’t know why everybody is surprised,” Harrison told Dan. “You know what kind of guy he is. He’s an emotional guy.”

But Harrison did have an issue with Sherman: “He did take the spotlight away from his teammates, which is very selfish.”

And Harrison thinks Sherman has to be careful. “You don’t want to degrade your opponent,” Harrison said. “Because this League will humble you.”

But Harrison thinks Sherman is very smart and a good player. “He’s not a thug,” Harrison said. “He’s still a young player.”

Harrison also weighed in on Bill Belichick calling out Wes Welker for the pick play on Aquib Talib. “I don’t think Wes Welker went to hurt him,” Harrison said. “Knowing Wes Welker, I don’t think he was intentionally trying to hurt him.” And Harrison said the Patriots do the same kind of play at least three or four times a game.
