Ron Rivera on Panthers’ breakout season

Carolina Panthers coach Ron Rivera joined the show to talk about his season and more. He said he learned a lot this year. After failing to go for it on fourth down in a loss to the Bills, Rivera said he had an epiphany and that set up their late-season success. Rivera also talked about expanding the playoffs. He’s on the Competition Committee and is very much in favor of it. “I’d love to see us seriously consider it this year,” Rivera said. He also commented on centralized replay. He’s not sure if that will go through this offseason, but he thinks it would take the emotion out of that kind of decision. Rivera said pass interference is the one rule he is most concerned about. “It’s such huge play,” Rivera said.
