Commissioner on why OHSAA ended hockey game in tie

OHSAA commissioner Dr. Dan Ross joined the show to talk about the decision to end the state final between St. Ignatius and Northview after seven overtimes.

Here’s what Ross said to the teams: “We can go two more overtimes. We can go to the next cut. We can go one more overtime. We can stop here right now. You know your kids much better than I do.”

Ross explained why they didn’t go to a shootout. “We have never had an adoption for a shootout,” Ross said. “I’m not sure our coaches would want a shootout.”
