Mark Cuban explains why NFL could be in trouble
Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban joined the show to talk about his NFL comments.
Cuban tried to explain why he said the NFL will implode. “It just means they’re going to suffer,” Cuban said. “It doesn’t mean they’re going to go out of business by a longshot.”
Cuban said it’s different for the NFL because they’re ratings are so high. “When you’re at the top,” Cuban said. “It’s a completely different responsibility.” He said you have to be very careful when you’re at that level.
Cuban said if he was younger, he would try to become part of an NFL ownership group. He said if he did own an NFL team, he would have said the same thing …. just privately.
Cuban said the big problem is fantasy football. He thinks something will “preempt it in people’s imagination.” He pointed out the daily fantasy sites aren’t exploding. He said there’s a better than even chance that fantasy football will get knocked off its perch.
