King said that he considers Johnny Manziel’s Pro Day important. King said NFL people are emphasizing that they need to see him in the pocket.

But King thinks that you won’t be able to tell until he plays next season. “Taking Johnny Manziel is a leap of faith in many ways,” King said.

King had interesting comments on rule changes. He said that changes could come to the extra point, but it will be a couple of years. He did, however, say the NFL is concerned that it’s a wasted 45 seconds.

King does think that playoff expansion will come, in part because coaches like it. It may save jobs at the end of the season.

King also commented on the Jets quarterback situation. He thinks Michael Vick will be out Geno Smith and be the starter for Gang Green.
