Bob Costas: NCAA “fundamentally corrupt” system
NBC and MLB Network broadcaster Bob Costas joined the show to talk about MLB instant replay and other big sports stories.
Costas weighed in on instant replay and said umpires like Jim Joyce wish there was replay so he wouldn’t have blown the Armando Galarraga no-hitter. But he said they still need to tweak it.
Costas also weighed in on changes to NCAA. “We have such a fundamentally corrupt [system,]” he said. He said that we all know student-athletes aren’t students, and they should be in a pro farm system. Costas said you should only take athletes interested being in students in college sports.
