Jabari Parker argues NBA age limit ‘ridiculous’

Former Duke star Jabari Parker joined the show to talk about why he decided to go pro and more. Here are some of his takes:

— Parker doesn’t think there should be a rule prohibiting players from entering the NBA until they’ve completed two years of college.

“I think that’s ridiculous,” Parker said. “People can enroll in service for their country, but they don’t want to give themselves the opportunity to provide for themselves and apply for a job in the NBA. That’s kind of ridiculous.

— But Parker said he wouldn’t have gone pro out of high school. He felt like he wasn’t ready.

— Parker said the player he’s most often compared to is Carmelo Anthony. Dan pointed out that he passes unlike Carmelo. “I pass,” Parker said, “but I have a team.”

— Parker said that he’s been yelled at many times by Coach K: “He challenges his best players more than average players. Like myself and Rodney.”
