Reggie Miller: Clippers need to start over

TNT’s Reggie Miller joined the show to talk about Donald Sterling, the playoffs and more.

Miller said it will be very hard for the players to compete and make a stand on Sterling. “You really play for your fans,” Miller said. “You don’t play for your owner.”

Miller said he wouldn’t fault Doc Rivers or any of the other Clippers players for wanting to walk away at the end of the season. But Miller pointed out that’s not easy with binding contracts. “This is just a mess,” Miller said.

Miller thinks that the Sterling family shouldn’t take over the team if the NBA forces out Donald Sterling. “They’ve got to start new with the Clippers,” Miller said.

Miller also weighed in on the Pacers series. He is “shocked” by Indiana’s struggles. He said Frank Vogel got somewhere with small-ball last night but it was too late.
