Landon Donovan breaks down U.S.’s World Cup performance
ESPN soccer analyst Landon Donovan joined the show to talk about the U.S.-Portugal draw.
Donovan said it was an uncharacteristic mistake by Michael Bradley in the midfield and the defense let up. But overall he thought the U.S. had a good performance.
He described watching it alone in his ESPN green room. He was hoping there was an offside or something.
Donovan said that they should play to win the game on Thursday against Germany even though a tie would mean they advance.
