Kluwe on why he’s suing Vikes, Dungy’s Sam comments

Former NFL punter Chris Kluwe joined the show to talk about his lawsuit against the Vikings and more.

Kluwe was pretty clear about his motivation for suing the Vikings. “I believe they fired me because I spoke out on same-sex rights,” Kluwe said.

Kluwe said he Tweeted about circumstances with an underage girl and Vikings player to make a a point about how the Vikings cover up everything:  “I question why there is this culture of ‘don’t talk about what happens in the locker room.'”

Kluwe commented on Tony Dungy’s comments on Michael Sam. He said those comments show why his case is important. “There is a culture in the NFL where coaches don’t want an openly gay player,” Kluwe said. “They’re afraid of the attention.”
