BBC’s Matthew Slater: Thank you US for FIFA arrests
BBC Sports news reporter Matthew Slater joined the show to talk about the FIFA arrests. Slater is glad the U.S. did what England has been too soft to do – clean up this corrupt sport. “It really is great news,” Slater said. Slater said “thank you” to the Americans and said the FIFA officials are as sleazy as any officials can be. Slater isn’t sure if they will get to Sepp Blatter.
“This is just like Goodfellas,” said Slater, noting FIFA officials are very cautious about how they communicate.
